Hope and Help

Thursday, February 7, 8:15am-4:45pm PST
Center at Cathedral Plaza
Los Angeles, CA

2020 Mom is bringing a 1-day support group training featured in our 2018 "Models that Made It" webinar series to California.

The training is designed for hospital staff or peers who will be leading groups in a hospital setting. Space is limited to 20 attendees.

Registration is $155 and includes:

  • Lunch

  • Basic tool kit for patient education on MMH disorders (which comply with the California Hospital Law, AB 3032)

  • Complementary 12 month membership to the 2020 Mom Learning Network Support Group Circle, scheduled to launch in July

  • Hope & Help facilitators guide

**CEUs are NOT included**

Attendees can expect to learn:

1. Why hospitals are in a unique position to offer support groups

2. The power of hospital clinician and peer lead teams

3. An overview of the Hope & Help curriculum

4. Role play of a typical support group

5. Next steps for launching a support group

What this training will not do:

This training will not equip you to begin a support group immediately.

There are still basics that clinical facilitators must complete, including a certificate based training in maternal mental health (offered by MMH Now, 2020Mom/PSI, or others). You must also find a peer to co-lead the support group. Maternal Mental Health Now (if you are based in L.A. County) and 2020 Mom can assist in finding a peer if needed.

No more than two attendees from one hospital are permitted due to space limitations.
