Donate to our Advocacy Fund

Our state legislative advocacy work is not covered by grants and can only be made possible by donors like you. 100% of these gifts go to creating model legislation, developing relationships with non-profits positioned to lead state maternal mental health (MMH) policy work with our support, and tracking state MMH policy. Honor a Loved One

Make a Gift In Someone’s Honor

Set Up a Fund in Your Loved One’s Name

Named gifts above $7,500 in a loved one’s honor make a significant difference through policy change. Please contact Kelly.Nielson@PolicyCenterMMH.org to make arrangements.

Make a Planned Gift

“Putting What We Know Now Into Action” the Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health has made critical advances on our goals to save lives, remove stigma, and increase access to quality care for all Moms, but we know we must be advocates for all Moms for the long haul. We know that healthy moms are foundational for healthy children, healthy families, and healthy communities. Help us propel our work to safeguard the mental health of moms by considering a planned gift, like naming the Policy Center in your will or a retirement plan gift.

Questions? We are here to help, email Kelly.Nielson@PolicyCenterMMH.org.

Give Through a Donor-Advised Fund

A Donor-Advised Fund is a way to give that makes it easy for you to support a cause you care about. It’s a convenient, flexible, and cost-effective way to manage your charitable giving.

Contributions into your Donor-Advised Fund are tax-deductible. You can recommend how much (and how often) you want to distribute money from that fund to the Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health or other charities.

Your support will go to work right away to help move the needle in maternal mental health. Learn more.

Donate Stock

If you intend to make a gift to support the Policy Center's work, it may be more beneficial for you to use appreciated stock rather than cash because of potential tax savings.

By donating stock, you receive a charitable income tax deduction equal to the current fair market value of the securities on the date of the gift, provided you’ve held them for more than one year.

Additionally, when you gift stock, you’ll avoid paying capital gains tax, and the Policy Center will be able to liquidate the stock and receive the proceeds from the sale.

Cy Pres Awards

Cy pres permits a court to award any unallocated, unclaimed, or undeliverable funds from a class action settlement or judgment to a non-profit organization.

Given the Policy Center’s work advancing a health care system that provides women with the maternal health and mental health care they deserve, the Policy Center is an ideal choice for a cy pres Award and has been approved as a cy pres recipient in past class action litigation.

Learn more about the Policy Center’s eligibility for cy pres awards here.
