Cheryl Beck, RN, DNSc, CNM, FAAN

Dr. Beck is a professor at the University of Connecticut, School of Nursing. Over the past 20 years Cheryl has focused her research on postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. She has published over 100 journal articles on such topics as postpartum depression, and birth trauma including PTSD due to childbirth.  Cheryl is a certified nurse-midwife and holds a master's degree in maternal-newborn nursing from Yale University and received her Doctor of Nursing Science degree from Boston University. Cheryl is also a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. She has received numerous awards such as the Eastern Nursing Research Society‚Äôs Distinguished Researcher Award, the Distinguished Alumna Award from Yale University and more.
