Farm to Table Brunch 2015

Last year one hundred and twenty (120) guests joined the organization on the lawn at Valencia Country Club under hanging lanterns enjoying cocktails, the boutique silent auction, and an incredible meal.  Guests learned about 2020 Mom, heard from mother who suffered from postpartum depression, and from speakers, John and Molly Chester of Apricot Lane Farms about life on the farm and about becoming parents themselves.

The event raised nearly $8000 dollars! The financial support allowed 2020 Mom to:

  • Hire a grant writer to help increase capacity to do more good
  • Provide two scholarships to our web-based training in Maternal Mental Health for clinicians
  • Expand our systems change work through the new state Task Force on the Status of Maternal Mental Health

I stopped in my tracks to hear the heroic story of the young Mom’s battle with PP and I thought...that’s why we are here.

With the help of Legacy Christian Academy and our guests, we collected over 3000 diapers for moms and babies in need here in Santa Clarita and L.A.

My wife Tami and I were fortunate to participate in the 2020 Mom’s Farm to Table brunch recently. It was so nice to be a part of the event, and to help out such a wonderful cause. It’s nice to know that there are such dedicated people in the world willing to lend a hand to woman in need of maternal mental health care. Increased awareness is a big part of dealing with issues like this, and they are doing a great job of getting the word out.
