Meet our 2018 Ambassador of the Year Finalists

Take a look at some of the phenomenal ways our Ambassadors are engaging with their own communities. These individuals have gone above and beyond to support the efforts of 2020 Mom in impacting Maternal Mental Health in ways that mean so much to them, and to us!

Shalynne Addison – Indiana
Shalynne spends her time focusing on maternal mental health awareness activities in her local Indiana community. She recently spoke at a community baby shower event, and has been organizing community walks to raise awareness. Shalynne also spoke at a training event for professionals engaged in Home Visiting and Early Head Start programming.

Kristina Dulaney – Tennessee
Kristina has used her Ambassador status in her efforts coordinating a community coalition in Tennessee. She has encouraged the conversations about maternal mental health by engaging providers from area hospitals and practices. Kristina also advocates at the federal level by attending Advocacy Days.

Stacey Figg – Michigan
Stacey is an ambassador media maven in Michigan. She often participates in media opportunities to educate about maternal mental health as well as local events that support 2020 Mom. She worked with her state officials this spring to proclaim MMH Awareness Month. Stacey is an inner circle member, donating monthly to our efforts.


 

Cassandra Gorospe – Illinois
Cassandra is a woman of many maternal mental health goals. She works as a 2020 ambassador by engaging multiple hospitals, agencies and organizations to partner and/or joining their efforts in the fight for improving mamas lives in Illinois. She is actively engaged with elected officials at both the local state level. She hosted a successful fundraiser for 2020 Mom to celebrate her birthday this year.

Sara Beth Janzen – California
Sara Beth is dedicated to making her California workplace a better place for the mothers there. She has worked very closely with her HR department to develop maternity and paternity leave packets complete with all the essential information and resources for their employees. Sara Beth also is a volunteer member of the Women’s Health Patient Advisory Council at her local hospital.
