Another in a series intended to showcase our advocates and team members and their story in the arena of maternal mental health care.
I’m a wife, mother, friend, and leader. I’m very blessed, but I’ve had my share of difficult times, too. I’m moved to help people who need support and don’t have the resources they need.
Q: What compelled you to join the board of 2020 Mom?
A: I am so excited to join the Board of 2020 Mom because I want to help those who experience maternal mental health issues, as I did after the birth of my son. I bring a unique perspective and skill set because of my work role as an HR leader for a Fortune 50 company.
Q: What do you love about 2020 Mom?
A: I love that 2020 Mom is seeking to eliminate the stigma around maternal mental health issues. Making it “ok” to address these issues is half the battle!
Q: 2020 Mom’s mission is to close the gaps in maternal mental health care. What’s your big hope for how 2020 Mom can fulfill this bold mission?
A: 2020 Mom is uniquely positioned to bring multiple stakeholders together to help address the gaps in maternal mental health care. No single stakeholder can solve the issues around maternal mental health.
