Elyse Springer, MA, MFT

Elyse is a licensed marriage and family therapist with offices in the Los Feliz/Silver Lake area of Los Angeles. In her private practice, Elyse works with HIV/AIDS, trauma, anxiety, creative blocks and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Elyse has worked at a cross-section of community mental health organizations, including the Suicide Prevention Center, Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health, Pacific Clinics and AIDS Project Los Angeles. She has lectured in a variety of settings including the United States Conference on AIDS, LABBN, Charles Drew University, Aid for AIDS, SFVCC, DASC Eastside Circle, and APLA on topics including sexuality, suicide, personality disorders, HIV/AIDS, trauma, homelessness, and perinatal mental health disorders and screening. She enjoys writing and frequently blogs on couples adjusting to a new baby. In addition to her current work in private practice, Elyse is a steering committee member of Los Angeles County’s Perinatal Mental Health Task Force and a past co-chair of the Los Angeles County HIV Mental Health Task Force. She is a member of Postpartum Support International, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, EMDR International Association, the Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles and a member of the PALS group for the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies (LAISPS).
